But, no, it isn't.

Re: The Temptation Story in Mark is anti-marcionite

In whiletime Peter Kirby continues to ignore the Klinghardt's argument above (that Mark 1:11 is revealing the identity of Jesus as son of a specific god: YHWH). It's not even properly an argument, as it doesn't lead from true premises in a sound way to a conclusion. It's just a claim from Klinghard...

No, so you're wrong again.

These alternatives are presented primarily for pedagogical reasons. They help to illustrate the implications of the evidence.

The natural conclusion here is that the text is the Greek handwriting of someone who lived before the 20th century.

Re: Comments on Handwriting Analysis and the Mar Saba Letter

Anastasopoulou, as mentioned, keeps their statements strictly to their area of expertise. In their paper, Paananen and Viklund clarify two points here: First, the observation that the script in the Clementine letter is written spontaneously and unconsciously is not ours, but rather one made by Anast...

Re: Comments on Handwriting Analysis and the Mar Saba Letter

When reached for comment by Paananen and Viklund, Anastasopoulou responded: Since neither of the authors of this article is an expert forensic document examiner, it seemed prudent to contact Anastasopoulou and ask for her opinion on these alleged non-continuous lines. She responded that the movement...

Re: Comments on Handwriting Analysis and the Mar Saba Letter

The difference on this particular point between Anastasopoulou and Tselikas reflects their different underlying areas of expertise. https://tuhat.helsinki.fi/ws/files/125297411/An_Eighteenth_Century_Manuscript_FINAL_REVISION_v13_with_APOCRYPHA_modifications_with_language_check.pdf The two discipline...

Re: Distinguishing some questions about the "Letter to Theodore"

I doubt Tselikas saw the now-separated manuscript, but I do know that he had access to the Voss volume (like SA said).

He has offered some of the only photos of it, particularly of some other pages:

Re: Comments on Handwriting Analysis and the Mar Saba Letter

Nevertheless, a common response to Anastasopoulou is to just say no in response to the question in her title: https://www.biblicalarchaeology.org/daily/biblical-topics/bible-interpretation/venetia-anastasopoulou-can-a-document-in-itself-reveal-a-forgery/ "Can a Document in Itself Reveal a Forge...
