Re: Meaning of παραδοθῆναι?

John appeared, baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. And passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And immediately they left their nets and followe...

Re: Sacrifice of Jesus to "purchase" our souls from???

Was there a Devil as such extant within early Hebrew religious practice, or did this evil "lord of this world" sort of Devil conception evolve only much later? It seems that the earliest 'Satan' was merely a 'son of god' with a god given occupational task to perform (I.E., a job), just as ...

Re: False Paul mutually exclusive with Mark's midrash from Paul ?

If Paul declared that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, and Mark is dependent upon Paul, then why does Mark have Jesus ascend into this kingdom bodily? I'm not sold on any arguments that someone we call Mark used Paul's letters by which to pen his letter which eventually became a Ca...

Re: It is impossible to escape from Marcionite priority

It may just be my perception playing tricks on me, but within Jack Bull's recent and ongoing Patristica video series (as seen on YouTube) Marcus Vinzent seems to not be as confidently forward and direct in confirming Marcion's Euangelion as having preceded and initiated the Synoptics. I'm detecting ...

Thank you kindly mbuckley3! I knew that I had gotten it from somewhere.
