Re: Julian denies the authenticity of both Testimonium Flavianum and Taciteum

I'm not sure this is relevant, but, in case: "Gegen Julian". Teil 2, Buch 6-10 und Fragmente / Cyril, Saint Patriarch of Alexandria; Wolfram Kinzig; Thomas Brüggemann; Gerlinde Huber-Rebenich; Stefan Rebenich; Christoph Riedweg; Adolf Martin Ritter; Markus Vinzent; Hubert Kaufhold 2017 Gre...

Re: Heresiology before 325 CE has been forged: NT Apocryphal literature is a Post-Nicene reaction to the NT Bible.

I think a (pre-Constantine era) philosopher named Origen became a Christian. Some think they were separate people. I may have missed something.
But I doubt Constantine and Eusebius and co. could have written, for example, Origen.

R. Gmirkin on K. Schmidt as "utterly oblivious"

R. Gmirkin wote, in part, Sun Nov 06, 2022 10:46 am: "I am a fan of Konrad Schmid, but he is utterly oblivious to any twenty-first century developments on the Hellenistic Era creation of the Hebrew Bible, and my books in particular. The idea that you can cite Schmid, who had never read any of m...

Re: The Origins of Judaism, Yonatan Adler

Evidence of Judaism, in some cases, may depend on definition and also on time and place. For example, in first centuries BCE and CE in Judaea use of stoneware vessels may evidence ritual purity concerns. Maybe less so among Jews in Galilee, where, after all, circa 200 CE, the Mishnah was written. Co...

Re: Was Jesus placed under Janneus against Marcion?

To be clear, I consider that the Qumran-text-view Teacher of Righteousness was Judah the Essene, a contemporary of Jannaeus, as explained in
"Jannaeus, His Brother Absalom, and Judah the Essene"

https://people.duke.edu/~goranson/jannaeus.pdf

and elsewhere.
