A work explicitly attributed to Origen in the MSS.I think Origen's argument is similar to that of Hippolytus in Refutation of All Heresies where heretics are accused of being over-influenced by Greek philosophy.

I think Christians thought that living members of the tradition were "Jesus" in some sense through a transmigration of his soul into them.
