The earliest associated name for IC is, I believe, Iesuos in a copy of the Septuagint conservatively dated to the early third century.

As far as I know Codex E is the earliest copy that we have viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8768

Maybe I'm just missing the point but isn't σuνaγωγή simply Greek for gathering? What other word would people use when writing in Greek to describe a place of gathering? Surely σuνaγωγή wasn't confined simply to Jewish people.

I tried a few of these, and currently I like ChatGPT for translation the most. Does the program favor classics Greek over "Biblical" Greek in its translation? I don't know, but it seems competent in koine Greek. I haven't tried classical. That's not quite what I meant. Normally when some ...
