Revelation is a completely Catholic text, as it identifies the Father with YHWH, in opposition to Satan identified with the serpent . The Catholic church identifies itself as the true and restored Israel, recepient of the promise to rule the world in turn for its allegiance with YHWH.

Revelation is nowhere near primitive but a complicated construction provided by an establishing Roman Catholic church.

All those questions are self-created problems of uncritical scholars, specifically Markan prioritists . By recognizing the need of lost sources, those disappear like ice in the sunshine.
