Where did Tischenduper's money came from?
mouldered by time or other factors? Moulded by thyme for that nice authentic shade of brownish yellow don't you mean :-,)? That page of links to the Greek manuscipts is very valuable to us all; might I suggest that you preface the title with Eclive: and keep the post up to date as new links come up...

KJV Tampering as a precursor to outright fraud
And the Tischenduper had help, including from the Pontifex Maximus, the Jesuit cardinal heads of the world's most secret library, and the Patriarch of Jerusalem. Quite a friends list for a young Lutheran pastor at age less than 30. ... Ste. Katherines, although spectacular in its own right, is a mu...

Re: libraries of Mt. Athos
This is a little complex since there are multiple monastery libraries involved. Here is a quick skecth. Thanks for that - you're an expert in the matter. A couple of small additions: Farrer's book on forgeries, with Chapter 3 on Simonides, is on archive.org: https://archive.org/download/literaryfor...

Faul and the Talmud
All one has to have is a phase that does not have the dualistic/gnostical/convoluted theology found in the epistles ... Another case in point: the utter nonsense in the Faulines about virginity: Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtai...

The Travels of Peter written by Clement
Unloading Paul gives us a lot of room to see Christianity in a new light, without the Crowleyism of the Faulines. And I don't find the Paul-addled historians of much use. I'm more interested in looking into the Clementine Recognitions as apocrypha to see if they shed light on this, and examine &quo...

Re: KJV Tampering
It is not plausible that any forger in the 19th century could create that codex. Note, it may have been designed as a replica rather than a forgery, but that does nor change the “why not” question. I'll take the Simonide's testimony on the matter over Stephen's puerile opinion of what's plausible; ...

Samaritans are Hebrews but not "Jews'
[ No the problem here is real: the Paul in Acts says that he's been given the task of teaching the gentiles, but no one amongst the Jamesian church says that. He's made by them to do costly penance, and is not given letters of mandate to teach (I won't take Paul's word on anything). The "James...

Re: The Problem of Paul and Marcionism
for example the extreme dualism between spirit and flesh in the epistles is a literal, gnostic view much like taking Genesis literally in a gnostic sense. i date that late 1st century at the earliest. (I think you meant 2nd century). I agree and go further: the Faulines are downright anti-Christian...

Nomina Sacra do not exist in Aramaic
Nomina Sacra are a Latin and Greek creation - they are not in the PeshittA. Readers of the NT in Aramaic wouldn't know what the words meant.
For example the PeshittA spells out the words Matt. 1:1 as ܕ݁ܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܡܫܺܝܚܳܐ translated as Jesus [Messiah | Annointed One| Christ].

Colophon to the Khabouris Codex
There's a thread on the colophon to the Khabouris Codex at http://www.peshitta.org/for/showthread.php?tid=2930 Paul Younan writes : Regarding the colophon to the Khabouris, I was in possession several years ago of a copy of the colophon that was enhanced by the work done at the imaging studio. I can...
