What do you think of chapters 9-11? Original to your minimal reconstruction?

Re: Were the Church Fathers 'Philosophers'?
Notice how they're all converts too, we don't here of any second generation christians (kids) until the 3rd century. In the Martyrdom Polycarp claims Eighty and six years have I served Him [Christ], and He never did me any injury: how then can I blaspheme my King and my Saviour? This seems to imply...

Re: Lucian's = Followers of Luke?
A novel suggestion? Luke's Gospel Followers pp.273-4 and whatever they wrote afterwards. Perhaps it was an offshoot, not fully separated as a sect, under a dodgy bishop, or church network scorned (for something now forgotten) in retrospect? Where did Luke's Gospel originate and circulate most ferve...

Re: Paul --- A Criminal and a Liar
The Biblical languages, Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic, seem to you not important for your interpretation of the Bible. Yet, how would you know that? I didn't mean Mary as the mother, just plain Mary without qualification/obfuscation. Speculative for sure, but I see the gospel undergoing several edits over time.

John 2 1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine... ... I wonder if mother originally read Mary.

Re: Was the Cross Interpreted as a symbol of Paradise?
In the TV series she narrated BBCs:The Bible's Buried Secrets , Francesca Stavrakopoulou says that the Garden of Eden was modeled after the 1st Temple/Persian/Babylonian temples and king's gardens. I wonder if the fourfold division you bring up is common in those.

This does make some sense.
