Re: Can Richard Carrier be trusted to write the truth?

Craig not only called Carrier a "crank exegesis" but proved it beyond a reasonable doubt. Craig went on later to say Carrier was his most bizarre opponent to date. http://caesarsmessiah.com/blog/2013/12/richard-carrier-the-phd-that-drowned-at-gadara/ PLZ read. CW Thanks for the link. I ha...

Re: Where do we go when we die?

@Gnostic Bishop, The Gnostic goal is to realize you are equal to God? Once again it sounds like something that Satan would have you believe. Remember the story of the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden? I watched, (for a second time) Alan Watts on the book of Eli. The video reminds me of the ride...

Stephan Huller wrote:I don't know what "hornet's nest" you think you've "stirred up." Not everyone here is a Carrier fan.
By all means then, you defend me against the Carrier swarm while I try to get to see if the nest has any honey. :cheeky:

Re: Can Richard Carrier be trusted to write the truth?

Looks like I stirred up a hornets nest. Now, if you feel Carrier has credible evidence that proves he is not a "crank exegesis", then please list the book he wrote, better yet, give me the chapter and better still, the page. If not, please move onto another thread because I will not respon...

Re: Where do we go when we die?

@Gnostic Bishop, I watched your short video by Timohty Freke. Thanks. He says a lot that is true and good but also says a lot that is false and bad, e.g. Rome [under Constantine] adopted Christianity, [true and good] only to bring on the dark ages [false and bad]. Freke takes offense to dogma, e.g. ...

Can Richard Carrier be trusted to write the truth?

I would like to know what is the best book written by Richard Carrier, that is to say, the book that has the most convincing argument that Jesus was a myth? Frankly, I never heard of Richard Carrier before joining this forum. I was first exposed to Carrier by a link Kirby provided for forum newbies....

Re: Where do we go when we die?

@ Spin, You wrote: "the flame—is a body of gas around the wick that is incandescent. The flame produces light, but it is not light, just as an incandescent filament inside an old lightbulb produces light, but is not light. It's better to be silent than to advertise lack of knowledge."...sp...

Re: Where do we go when we die?

No argument that all go sub atomic eventually, entropy, but that also means that there is no way for cohesion of consciousness to maintain itself. Unless telepathy is real. Only that I think would show consciousness maintaining cohesion...Gnostic Bishop ********************** Most people don't reali...
