Re: Weighing up the evidence for the ‘Historical Jesus’

Thanks to the arguments of outhouse, I come to believe less and less of this 'Let's pretend its 'history' cum religious horse crap every day. 'Agreeing' that a NT Jesus existed, will never make this mythical religious character exist. May as well be agreeing that Pecos Bill existed as a quote "...

"nuggets in a sediment"
Straw in petrified horse crap.
'Historical Jesus' studies' = grasping at bits of rotted straw extracted from excreted horse pucky mythologies of the zombie death cult religion.

Re: A Flawed Man --- Like All Men Are

There are five 'authentic' letters'? ;) One might be inclined to wonder, Just how authentic IS this 'authentic' ? Is every word, phase, verse, and argument in these "authentic" letters straight from the pen or lips of one [/u] 'Apostle Paul'??? Not so much as a name, word, sentence, or par...

Re: The Early Christian Depiction of Jesus as a.God

Anyone want to try calculating how much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ the distributors and promoters of this particular bit of pop-drama have cleared?

Re: The Early Christian Depiction of Jesus as a.God

Starting trouble at Passover was common, A terrific ready made STORY setting, and an audience all prepped and primed for buying a well written religious drama, don't ya think? A trip or two to ye old pop-religious story archive, crib a few famous lines, star characters, story elements, and popular ...

Re: The Early Christian Depiction of Jesus as a.God

What is this thread about? Persecution or depiction of Jesus as a god? ... the OP is about Jesus as a god, would someone kindly confirm what an inscription at Megiddo says, as I understand this as fundamentally important in trying to work out did a human become deified, was a hero like Achilles inv...

Re: The Early Christian Depiction of Jesus as a.God

Most of what is claimed to be written by 'Paul', the real Saul/Paul had no hand in or knowledge of, being latter created Christian garbage forgeries made in his name. I would love to see some credible work done on this to help you build your case here. I know no credible scholar now posits anything...

Re: The Early Christian Depiction of Jesus as a.God

Really not right to drag the word 'Christian' into texts, times, and situations where even the content of The Bible itself excludes it. By the NT's given account of these matters (and there is none other account known) 'Paul' most definitely DID NOT ever persecute anyone called a 'Christian', as per...

Re: The Early Christian Depiction of Jesus as a.God

The dude who wrote II Cor. 12:24-25 claims to have been whipped five times by the Jews with 39 lashes, beaten thrice, stoned once, shipwrecked... after having said that he was imprisoned, etc. The generality of scholars hold that the Corinthians are by Paul. So either Paul underwent these "dis...
