Re: Cold Case Christianity
Yes, that's where I want to investigate whether Jim Wallace makes a good case for independent eyewitnesses. I agree with eyewitness sources, but I suspect his reasoning excludes considering the most likely scenario that the similarities and differences simply arise from independent use (sometimes ne...

Re: Cold Case Christianity
Worth considering. His book is in the mail, so I don't know one way or the other.
(You don't really think I regard him more highly than I do myself, do you?)

Re: Why the Orthodox Claims About Their Gospels Being First
Wh..wh..what about the Diatessaron that all the gospels are based upon, that was a proto-gospel before the canonical set of four? Are you abandoning the proto-gospel Diatessaron that was earlier, maybe by apostles, and preserved by the Syrian church and by the Arabs? Say it isn't so, whoever you are.

Re: Cold Case Christianity
I myself believe that the gospels (or at least the sources, the Passion Narrative, both Qs, the Discourses, and the Signs Gospel) were written before Paul wrote. In his videos Wallace does not argue that the gospels were written before Paul, but indeed before Paul, Peter, or John died. I assume the ...

Re: Cold Case Christianity
Based on several Youtube videos I have surveyed, he did better on his courtroom drama in the God's Not Dead 2 movie than he did as lecturer at the churches where he has appeared. He does not go so far as to compare the differences between the gospels as evidence for eyewitness testimony. He simply w...

Re: Cold Case Christianity
I have ordered the book, Cold Case Christianity. Meanwhile I have been watching/listening to J. Warner Wallace's various you-tube videos on the topic. I haven't gotten yet to the part that shows how the gospel accounts have minor differences that show that each is independent of the other. Meanwhile...

I'm taking that back. I don't want this whole thread to get thrown Nowhere in Particular.

Re: Cold Case Christianity
Reviewers have always been very liberal, like the Hollywood Establishment itself, and usually homosexual. Their bias shows above all against Christian movies. I saw the movie today and was surprised how far it was above usual standards for Christian movies. Did you see it? I doubt it's out yet in an...

Cold Case Christianity
I was about to start a thread on the new movie, "God's not Dead 2" that I enjoyed today. However, I realized that what I really wanted to dwell on was the staged courtroom testimony claiming to establish that the gospels contain eyewitness testimony. I researched and found that the actor p...
