Re: Phillipians 2:9-11, What name is given in exaltation?
I find it odd (awkward) to believe that the exalted name would be the same as the name prior to exaltation. This because the word exaltation in and of itself seems to imply a higher state of being than that which existed prior to exaltation, as opposed to a restoration of the exact same status as be...

Ben, do you believe that this indicates that the "Two Powers in Heaven" conception of the Godhead is likely the position held by the earliest (pre-captivity) Hebrews?

Re: Was the man Jesus punished by the spiritual Christ via crucifixion?
I can see where you (or your source) are (is) trying to tie ends together and logically make this claim, but is it realistic to assume that this claim would lie dormant for roughly 2,000 years, with no early heretical group(s) being singled out for specifically this heresy via the Orthodox heresy hu...

Phillipians 2:9-11, What name is given in exaltation?
9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. With reference to t...

Re: Was the man Jesus punished by the spiritual Christ via crucifixion?
The name "Jesus" is named again and again during the trial. The spiritual Christ is entirely absent during the trial. Is there some meaning? How can the Christ be absent if Jesus claims he is the Christ? It seems like the connection (or rather disconnection, or dissociation) is only being...

Re: The chiastic structure of Mark 3.31-35.
I can only tell you what I put in my book namely that the four creatures of Ezekiel/Apocalypse line up with the four cardinal signs of the zodiac. Clearly there would have to be female disciples (= the Virgin) for this to work with the apostles. Would this be an existing book, or an upcoming release?

Re: The chiastic structure of Mark 3.31-35.
Which Apostle lines up with each sign of the zodiac? Who will sit on the left and right hand sides of the risen Christ?

Re: Blasphemy & the passion narrative before Mark.
But it was my understanding that Jesus could hardly get the message across to his disciples, and that to the crowds he spoke only in parables so they intentionally wouldn't understand. Nowhere is it mentioned that among the witnesses were any of Jesus 12 chosen inner circle. Unless perhaps it was Ju...

How did the Sanhedrin know to ask Jesus if he was the Messiah? And how did the Romans (Pilate) know to ask Jesus if he was the King of the Jews?

Re: Carrier versus Hurtado about what there was in the mind of Philo
If you had to get one, it would be On the Historicity of Jesus . If you got ahold of it somehow, the chapter where he goes over background assumptions is quite worth reading and has this stuff. Thanks Peter!!! Is 'On the Historicity of Jesus' also based primarily upon the Bayesian approach? If so, ...
