Perhaps one factor among others, at least within rabbinic Judaism, was eventual increased reliance on Aramaic language, especially in Babylonian Talmud?

I may have missed something, but I think the question--"Why can't there be both a literary gospel Jesus and a historical Jesus crucified under Pilate?"--still stands.
For example, perhaps we can agree, Alexander the Great was historical, and there are literary tales about him.

There is more than one Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible. Language is more than lists of words. Some words change meaning over time. Perhaps these Hebrew to Greek to English selections follow some personal preference.
