Re: About Jesus son of Ananus...
... This is the only point in Josephus where he writes about visions, hallucinations, revelations à la Paul. It's surprising that it seems that Josephus links all these things with the prophet Jesus ben Ananias by a kind of relation of cause-effect. A question: can the original Greek for "Woe,...

Re: Coins and Gospels
The Praetorium is the residence of the Roman Governor and one would expect this building to be named in its Roman form for a direct understanding of the narrative. The Roman Governor Palace in Cologne seem to retain the original Roman name just as it does in the Greek of Mark. http://www.museenkoel...

Re: Coins and Gospels
I'm fairly confident Mark was written in Italy, which accounts for explanations such as two leptas being (equivalent to) a quadrans (Mk 12:42), but you'd think such an explanation would discount the substitution theory. Why Rome only? Couldn't these coins be in use also in a Roman colony, such as C...

The Australian Numismatic Society Library The Denarius in Mark 12:15 By Peter Lewis http://the-ans.com/library/2012PeterLewis.html First, sorry, but I do not understand why you are responding to my information about the quadrans and the lepton with information about the denarius. My post was ab...
