Re: The resurrection of the dead as a historical event

Does the Quadratus fragment provide any verification for the supposed "zombie periscope" in Matthew or is it too old to be counted as testimony to this? Was Quadratus talking about people the Jesus rose from the dead while he was preaching? Is this another exaggeration by Eusibius? I hadn'...

Second Temple Destruction

Hello-- I was wondering if anyone recalls reading that after the second temple was destroyed that some folks lived among the ruins. I remember reading this somewhere, but have not had luck finding anything on this. Does anybody remember who might have written about this?

Re: Temple Doors

I am revisiting this issue. Does anyone know of ancient stories besides the one about the Jewish temple in which doors or gates opening was a sign of impending doom? Was this a common motif?

Re: Jesus in the Talmud

I finally did hear back from Jacob, and basically, he told me that I would not find any good information regarding what the Avodah Zerah says about Jesus in current Talmudic works. According to him, he studied at Cambridge and he was privy to some "uncorrupted"versions of this book that ha...

Would it replicate Herod's Temple, the original 2nd temple, Solomon's temple, or Ezekiel's temple? Or would it be something altogether differe...
