Re: What is the oldest reference to astrological ages of Aries / Pisces / etc?
If you take Ulansey for granted, the Mithraic tauroctony would itself be evidence for the concept of astrological ages. The only problem is that the slaughtering of the celestial bull would be indicative of Taurus passing into Aries, while the mysteries themselves did not emerge until the beginning ...

Re: John 20 and 21, and 'the other disciple' whom Jesus loved
My own opinion is that the the original ending was 21:24, but that the initial outro was 20:30-31. What's more, compare Codex Fuldensis. Luke 1:1-4, minus the naming of Theophilus--though it does indicate that is written for someone specifically--opens that codex. And when taken in tandem with John ...

What is Sige?
Reading over Irenaeus' comments about Marcus, I'm left perplexed. Typically, Irenaeus is clear to get his point across as to what he perceives the beliefs and practices of heretics are--for as mistaken as these perceptions may be. But his explanation of Marcus, and of his Sige, is baffling me. At so...

Re: Was James the original Judas?
I have no time for riddles about names. When you will publish your book, I will read your thoughts to say so. But I confess that I am partial to the idea that the Earliest (post-70) Gospel was a gentile sacred drama that showed ''the Jews'' as the 'bad' of the story. How can a drama or source be ut...

Re: Was James the original Judas?
Giuseppe, I don't think you realize just how correct you are in thinking that James and Judas are the same. But your appropriation seems misdirected. The original Gospel did not include the death of James, but of his appointing as the leader of fellow Christians (still Jews) by Christ, effectively b...

In the tenth year let Addai sit and write them down. And when he writes them down [...] and they are to give them [...] he has the [...] he is called Levi. Then he is to bring [...] word [...] from what I said earlier [...] a woman [...] Jerusalem in her [...] and he begets two sons through her. Th...

Re: Why did James become a Gnostic icon, too?
You're assuming that Gnosticism could only be one thing. It's not just the Apocalypse of James, but also the Gospel of the Hebrews and Gospel of Thomas that reveal the significance James had to early Christians. Both James and Paul believed themselves to be the Paraclete. The difference is that Jame...

Re: Josephus on James the Just?
Doubtful. Clement of Alexandria's edition of Josephus was also corrupted, extending to the tenth year of Antoninus Pius.Giuseppe wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2018 3:28 am https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... aicae_2091

Re: Giza Pyramid's Alleged Meteorite Throne
One thing he did note: the Pyramid texts say that Osiris sits on a throne of iron. The texts themselves were inscribed before iron was readily used. However, iron is an ingredient in meteors. Something to think about...

Re: Giza Pyramid's Alleged Meteorite Throne
Alan Alford argued that the benben stone, the mythical stone on which the sun's rays shined at the very beginning of zeptepi, was in actually a meteor. He believed that the Egyptian cosmology (specifically that of Heliopolis) was a veiled account of the origins of our solar system, applying the EPH ...
