Great March of Return’ protest held at Israel-Gaza border
Re: Great March of Return’ protest held at Israel-Gaza border
Well see polling on Palestinian attitudes. It's not just a tiny minority that supports violence.
And no, there was never "Palestinian" land that was stolen by "evil" Israel. Palestine *never* existed as a state. Israel was created by the same process as other Middle Eastern nations under international law; the only difference being that the process got screwed up by Arab aggression.
It's just a complete lie that the West Bank is "occupied" by Israel. It may be controlled by the Israeli state of course and so occupied in that sense; but it's not occupied in the sense that it was Palestinian territory that was invaded by Israel. The Israeli position is that the territory is "disputed", and all you need to do is just check the history of sovereignty and Israel's position is obviously correct.

From a 2015 article:
"Two-thirds of Palestinians support the current wave of stabbings against Israelis, with the same percentage backing a larger armed uprising, according to a Palestinian poll released Monday."

I know with some people, however, it's pointless to try to explain this. This is how they will react: well if Palestinians are so violent, what has Israel done to upset them?

Black Lives Matter
JW:
To their credit both sides of "The Palestinian Problem" have generally avoided/toned down their attempted merger/hijacking of the George Floyd issue. The Hard Left which likes to generally match Israel/Israel supporters with the villain of the issue and Jewish organizations that try to match historic Jewish victimhood with the current victim. Doing so dilutes support for the issue at hand. Recent Hard Left leaders like Farrakhan, Sarsour and Mallory who have tried and failed to do so are now largely irrelevant to America as a whole.
What's left are conspiracy theorists on both sides, Hard Left that say US police were taught this in Israel and Hard Right who say George Soros staged the whole thing. Oh, and of course Arnoldo. It's easier now to see them for what they are.

Is Palestinian Terrorism Good For Israel?
Re: Black Lives Matter
What a pile of malignant rubbish. The idea that you're concerned about diluting a social justice issue is laughable.JoeWallack wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 11:49 am To their credit both sides of "The Palestinian Problem" have generally avoided/toned down their attempted merger/hijacking of the George Floyd issue. The fact of the matter is that demanding that Israel get its foot off the neck of the Palestinians reinforces rather than dilutes the BLM movement. I suspect the families of both Iyad Halak and George Floyd would agree.
