The Remains of Alexandria 2021

The photograph shows the tower of a dwarf Pylon found and raised during our underwater surveys on submerdged Cape Lochias. This was probably part of the temple of Isis Lochias built by Cleopatra. It stood very close to the Church and Martyrium of Evangelist Mark. There was an important synagogue in the vicinity mentioned by Josephus.
