JJMJS 2022, including Klawans on M. Smith's "To Theodore"

Post by StephenGoranson »

The Journal of the Jesus Movement in its Jewish Setting no. 9 (2022) became available at the end of last year.
http://www.jjmjs.org/
Among the articles (on pages 42-71) is one by Jonathan Klawans,
"Nastiness, Nonsense, Antinomianism, and Abuse:
Morton Smith versus Morton Smith on Jesus, Secret Mark, and the _Letter to Theodore_"

This article does not appear (because it's too recent, I suppose) in the Bibliography of
The Secret Gospel of Mark
A Controversial Scholar, a Scandalous Gospel of Jesus, and the Fierce Debate over Its Authenticity
by Geoffrey S. Smith and Brent C. Landau
240 Pages, 6.12 x 9.25 in, 8 b-w illus.
Hardcover
9780300254938
[to be] Published: Tuesday, 21 Mar 2023 [but already available via amazon kindle]

About the G. Smith/B. Landau book, imo, so far:
It is a worthy contribution to learning that includes some new (to me) information, but (to me) not all of its assertions are convincing.
