Was Psalm 2:9 used by Marcion against the demiurge (=the potter)?

Was Psalm 2:9 used by Marcion against the demiurge (=the potter)?

Post by Giuseppe »

I have found that the Septuaginta has for the Psalm 2:9 the following:

ποιμανεῗς αὐτοὺς ἐν ῥάβδῳ σιδηρᾷ ὡς σκεῦος κεραμέως συντρίψεις αὐτούς

translating litterim at least the expression ὡς σκεῦος κεραμέως I gain:

You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like the recipient of a potter.

Isn't the potter the expression used by anti-demiurgists to despise the evil demiurge?
