The two disciples sent by John the Baptist to question Jesus are the two thieves

Post by Giuseppe »

Luke 7:19:
Summoning two of his disciples, John sent them to the Lord, saying, “Are You the Expected One, or do we look for someone else?

Same function as witnesses. In a case, they have to confirm that Jesus is really the Expected One, in the other case, they have to confirm that Jesus is really crucified.
