Christian/non-Christian dualism

Post by StephenGoranson »

It may be that some posts here assume a strict Christian or non-Christian dualism. (The word Manichean might, or might not be, in some cases, a comparison worth noting.)

Some posts here may have used such a dichotomy. Maybe consider the question, "are you now, or have you ever been, a Christian?" (Modified from US HUAC 1950s.)

This post arises, in part, from reading here that Yale Prof. Bentley Layton was lumped in with putatively "biased, falsifying semi-academics" by mlinssen (a declared MA)*. Layton studied with H. J. Polotsky in Jerusalem. Is Polotsky similarly to be dismissed by mlinssen?

(I don't personally know Layton, but I did hear him lecture and appreciate some of his works.)
