If Epiphanius doesn't lie about having the Marcionite canon and sharing a handful of reused readings from Against Marcion no one would be daft enough to think you could use Tertullian to reconstruct the Marcionite canon. You need a catalyst to embark on recklessness. Like that drunk friend who decides to encourages everyone else to balance from the Brooklyn Bridge.

On its own, Against Marcion wouldn't convince people the Marcionite canon is knowable. It's stupid Epiphanius.
