Lorenz assumes he just got tired.
As Tertullian's citations become less frequent and more allusive towards the end of Book 4 of Adversus Marcionem, apparently as he grew weary of his task, these problems are only exacerbated.https://books.google.com/books?id=E9twE ... 22&f=false
