Why the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard is interpolated in Mark

Post by Giuseppe »

The idea that the Kingdom is taken away from the Jews is late, since in all the rest of Mark the idea occurs again and again, that the Kingdom is coming in the immediate future, hence it was never something already in possession by the Jews.

Corollary: the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard is probably interpolated. This would save also the Markan priority, since prof Vinzent has rightly pointed out that such Parable occurs (not casually) immediately after that Jesus doesn't answer about the his real identity before the pharisees questioning his authority (whereas the Parable is designed precisely to reveal who is Jesus really: the son of YHWH).
