Some Basic Facts About Christianity (As I Eat Lunch)

Post by Secret Alias »

My wife is on a diet for our trip to the French Open. I just get slimmer tagging along with her cooking. She made this barely passable (whole wheat) macaroni and cheese (without real cheese). So I jazzed it up with some fresh cream, parmigiano cheese and fresh crab. So as I am eating my unkosher lunch I was thinking. It is a cornerstone of Christianity that only the ten commandments came from God. The rules of eating seafood and circumcision (which I was forced to undergo) and everything else not in the ten commandments don't apply to the earliest Christians. I think the orthodox reforms of the second century obscured this basic reality. But I think Christianity was based on this "only the ten commandments" matter. Just thought I would share that (as my crab macaroni and cheese gets cold).
