Polycarp and the Comma Johanneum

Polycarp and the Comma Johanneum

I've been told that Polycarp quoted the Comma Johanneum but I can't find it in the one epistle he wrote. I wonder if they are talking about a quote from whoever wrote The Martyrdom of Polycarp (which still doesn't quote the comma verbatim).

This should probably be posted in the Christian texts forum.

I do not think the comma appears in any text as early as century II.
