Was Jesus risen two times?

Post by Giuseppe »

Mark 10:33-34:

Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:

And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again

why "again"?

Wa Jesus already risen a first time?

This would be evidence that the Gospel Jesus is the risen Joshua who has returned on the earth to start the kingdom.

"Again" is added by the English language translator and the word does not necessarily mean "a second time" but can also mean "back to an original condition" or "besides" or "on the other hand" or "in response" or

The Greek word itself is ἀναστήσεται and it does not mean "to have a second resurrection".
