Pilate was governor of Judea from AD 26 to AD 36. Within those parameters, the lunar phases only permit two possible dates for a Passover meal/crucifixion as described in the gospels. Those dates are 7th April AD 30, or 3rd April AD 33. I prefer the first option.

Here is a chart showing the lunar phases on Passover days from AD 26 to AD 36. Read rows from left to right. All the possibilities are shown but, as you can see, only a few fit the traditional Friday crucifixion.

what about if the crucifixion was later under Tiberius Alexander always been intrigued by that remote possibility cause of Josephus's claims
that would be the 3 years 46 - 48. but it seem to me these passover dates on Friday or Wednesday are pretty common and so are just interesting but not really conclusive in any way

The years 46-48 were also marked by a severe famine. This is mentioned in Acts 11:28 some eighteen years later.

Indeed, Jesus providing food to people in the gospels maybe there was a famine going on
The same thing happened in the Irish potato famine, the British government and churches sat on their hands only the Quakers did anything and organised food to be sent over. A famine context in the gospels is probably not an avenue anyone's explored?

I don't have any particular preference on the date of the crucifixion it could have been anywhere prior to about 50 and still be time for a gospel to spread around in the 50's and 60's, ie the traditional dating for that, all one has to do is modify Galatians a bit to remove the 14 years gap in Paul's ministry.
