Did Jesus Author the Epistle to the Hebrews?

Post by Hermas »

Have we been asking an unanswerable question in "Which disciple authored the Epistle to the Hebrews."
There is an argument for Peter, Paul, John, Jude, James, Luke, even the reach of Apollos, Barnabas, Priscilla.
Why do they all equate with the Epistle to the Hebrews to the point where you would think they wrote it?
But they did not all write it.....
What if they were inspired by it?
This would explain their fixation upon the Epistle to the Hebrews?
I could provide lists of corresponding parallels from all of the above. One list of the Epistles of John parallels the Hebrews Epistle on this blog.
Almost every verse of James corresponds in some way with the Hebrews.
Then after the Apostles, Clement, Justin Martyr and other Fathers focus on the Hebrews.
Clement to the Corinthians uses the Epistle to the Hebrews in several quotes and many more indirect references. He speaks of
the person of Jesus as if to highlight the Epistle of Hebrews as THE source for understanding the Gospel.
The question, Did Jesus author the Epistle to the Hebrews? when I took it serious has led to a domino dropping jaw dropping serious of discoveries...
The theory is this:
Jesus on the road to Emmaus caused the two disciples (Cleopas and unnamed) hearts to burn within them.
It is the context for disciples to record such amazing sermons.
When Jesus reappeared in the Upper Room, he instructed those two disciples and the apostles to write down his own thought about his death and resurrection in light of the law and the prophets. In this regard, the Emmaus and Upper Room discussion in Luke and the Epistle of Hebrews are put together with surprising results.
What if? Is Jesus able to surprise us all in such a way and conceal his identity from all of us for 2000 years?
The dominos fell from their in an amazing pattern, through all the New Testament giving the Hebrews its rightful place as the foundation stone of it all, the Gospels the four pillars that rest on the Hebrews and the rest of the epistles as the workings upon these 5 books.
Then Ode of Solomon 23, Hermas Vision 2 and the Dead Sea Scrolls led to more research on the secret book of the Messiah that became a volume, this led to the domino drop of the Shepherd of Hermas as three other books from the volume of Jesus in the Upper Room.
(Hebrews ends with Paul's Timothy Rome statement). So what if Paul passed on the document? Tertullian said Barnabas wrote it. So what if Barnabas did transcribe and pass on a copy or two?
The implications are huge.... and cause us to see the entire New Testament with a new illumination.
Who then, is the unnamed disciple on the road to Emmaus? YOU!
