Some suggestive clues in such sense:
- Mark defames the two sons of Zebedee, but assumes that Jesus predicts their future martyrdom.
- The two witnesses in Revelation are martyrs and followers of Jesus: James and John?
- Mark has the two crucified lesthai who replace ironically John and James in their claim to take respectively the right and left of Jesus in the glory.
- The two witnesses in Revelation share the glory of Jesus insofar they ascend to heaven.
- James and John are Jewish-Christians and attacked as such in Mark;
- The two witnesses are Jewish-Christians and attack the Pagans in Revelation.
