Yeah, that is what the forum is for.
My comment was an observation of comparison between the trivial mind game infighting over the nature of evil
It wasn't a trivial dispute. Evil is the most important subject in Christianity after God.

Someone starts a thread and makes an assertion but when a legitimate challenge comes up they do not respond. Meaning, they aren't really interested in their subject, just trying to get validation.
Our new age Gnostic scholars are easily exorcised with the primary sources.

The interesting point here is that by the time the author of the Panarion came into contact with them the Marcionites had a three principle doctrine. The later Iranian marcionites then replaced the Demiurge with Hyle as a neutral principle. The Armenian Marcionite myth retold by Eznik has the Ultimate God, the Demiurge and Hyle as the characters.

Where did they get their doctrines of Hyle? There is nothing in the reconstructed Marcionite Gospel to suggest hyle. Because she doesn't make an appearance until the Book of Revelation, which wasn't in the Marcionite cannon. But of course Marcion's doctrines are nowhere to be found in the reconstruction of his book...

Where and when did Marcionites get into Iran, and for how long were they active there? Or are you referring to Marcionites within the broader Persian empire?

I don't know that there has ever been a history of the Iranian Marcionites. They are very obscure but mentioned in many middle eastern sources from the middle ages.
