I created a joke the other day which probably is not original but -
Why do Jews go to the synagogue on Saturday?
- Because, that is the day that it doesn't cost money
I've been living in Colorado Springs for some months and serious Jewish activity is limited. However the local Chabad is having Friday night and Saturday services this weekend because a friend of the Rabbi is visiting. Ironically, there is a $50 charge to attend (no doubt, worth the price because of the meals).
Still it was odd to have invented the joke and then almost immediately to see it partially refuted - and some people say there is no God.
