First century Jewish names

Is there a good catalogue of Jewish names from around the first century, or the Hellenistic era? We names like Michael and Gabriel used for people? What about Moses or Enoch? Were there any general guidelines or customs around what names were suitable for people and which ones weren't? I assume names like Adonai and Elohim were not used, etc.

Tal Ilan is the source to consult: https://books.google.com/books/about/Le ... apQv6JzNwC. Richard Bauckham has a decent summary of her work in Jesus and the Eyewitnesses, as well.

You are welcome, but... it is a mistake not to read Bauckham. One can disagree all one wishes, but there are aspects to early Christian history you will simply not find anywhere else. The other main conservative scholar one should not skip is Gundry. Oh, and N. T. Wright for theological matters (not for history in any way).
