Please make offers to have a debate and arrange the details of any possible debate in this thread.

Great idea. I would welcome that.

Sounds good! Just let me know, you guys, if you actually want to do this, along with suggestions for number of words per post, number of rounds, and who writes first (may I suggest that Robert Tulip writes first?).

For example: up to 4000 words per post, with 3 rounds. Adjust these numbers up or down as you think is needed.

I would like to debate with anyone the idea/claim/assertion that we have enough information from Christian antiquity to say to be certain about the origin, nature and texts of the earliest Christian religion.

I'm interested in defending and expanding the position of the overwhelming evidence of "elixirs" in early Christianity.

Very interesting. I wonder if anyone wants to take the skeptical side on that debate.

Try not to forget rule #2 of The Podium: "Strictly no flaming, no trolling, no insults, no parody, no ad hominem, no vulgarity, no personal comments, and nothing that could otherwise reasonably be considered offensive or that distracts from the subject being discussed."

I'm very lax in every other forum, so we should at least try to maintain a decorum here.

Also, and perhaps more importantly, this thread is for debate arrangements only, not for any kind of extended discussion.

A thread has been split off here:

I will only debate this topic if all participants have to ingest mushrooms before debating

Could we work out some form of digital ingestion? Maybe just stare at a visual picture of magic mushrooms for some given length of time. People are getting off this way :ugeek: with nudity.

I already made a proposal in The Elixir within. Transubstantiation as well could work. We need somebody who can bless digital forms.
