Nous en dirons autant de la profession de charpentier qui lui fut attribuée ainsi qu'à son père. Elle remonte à Twasti et à Tammuz-Adonis, qui portait l'épithète de nagar, charpentier. Cette filiation fut peut-être aidée par la dérivation du radical araméen n'sar, donnant le sens de scier et celui de nazaréen. [63]

Without disturbing nagar and Tammuz-Adonis, it seems that the Aramaic n'sar alone already means 'to saw", so raising the allusion to the typical action of a carpenter.

More respect, please, for prof Guignebert.
