- Why is Annas still the high priest when the disciples were persecuted?
The next day the rulers, the elders and the teachers of the law met in Jerusalem. 6 Annas the high priest was there, and so were Caiaphas, John, Alexander and others of the high priest’s family. 7 They had Peter and John brought before them and began to question them: “By what power or what name did you do this?”
(Acts 4:6-7)
The connection Jesus/Annas is the trace of a previous chronological datation of Jesus under Annas (and Quirinius):
Having been the Precursor placed under Caiaphas (and Pilate), then accordingly Jesus had to be placed after him.

insofar a "clue" proves something, it is not a proof.

A strong chronological clue in the direction of Judas the Galilean being at the origin of the datation of Jesus under Annas high priest.

Well, no. I am not aware of any plausible indication that "Jesus == Judas the Galilean."

So are you saying that a Jesus crucified when Annas was high priest (and Quirinius governor of Syria) doesn't raise no suspicion at all that he was one and the same Judas the Galilean?

Giuseppe, though you are free to interpret matters differently, please try to hear my view: I find no reason to think that "Jesus == Judas the Galilean." Not any. None whatsoever. No.
