from the benefactor of all...

Turning towards him, the illuminator of all darkness,
the cultivator of all seeds, the farmer of all intellectual growth among humans,
have mercy on me, Lord, and build me a temple worthy;
do not overlook my transgressions.
For if you observe my impieties, where will I be able to stand before you?
But, according to your great mercy and the abundance of your compassion,
wipe away my offenses only through your most holy child, Jesus Chrest/Christ (σ[ου Ἰησοῦ Χριστο]ῦ),
our Lord and the healer of our souls.
May glory, power, all magnificence, and splendor be to you,
for all the ages of ages. Amen.

Another:
Holy God, who revealed to me life and light through your Son,
Holy God and Father of all, you are Holy from the beginning,
Holy God who is known by your own nature, you are the God who
receives and knows everything,
Holy God who established all things by the Word,
you are the Holy one whom nature did not defile,
you are the Holy one greater than all powers,
you are the Holy one who judges praises.
Accept the voices from my soul and heart,
offered to you with an organized mind,
grant strength to my spirit and illuminate
the members of my family with your grace,
sons of yours.
For my spirit belongs to the divine Spirit.
Therefore, I believe and testify:
I am inheriting life and light from you.
Blessed are you, Father, your man desires to sanctify himself to you,
as you gave him all authority.
May glory be to you now and forever and unto all the ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer of the Apostles, Peter, and others:
Holy are you, Lord God Almighty, and the Father of our Lord
Jesus Chrest/Christ (Ἰῦ Χῦ), the paradise of delight, the royal staff, the
abundant love, the secure hope, the true faith,
the indescribable will.

To my lord father, in the Lord God and Christ (Χρι\σ/τοῦ) the Son, to John, Epagathos greets you with joy. We wish you to know, my lord father, that I have come to you, and at another time, having found your kindness regarding Apollonios. I ask you to send me to him so that he may release me from my authority. From the prison, since I am not supplied with necessary food; I often go three days without tasting bread. Either through the love of God, or I was going to die of hunger. Therefore, release him from everywhere. I see God in you. I wish you good health.

To Aurelius Paloutis, linen-worker, from the city of Panos, near Aurelius Pasnōtos Fox, from the same city. I have leased from you, starting from the month Thoth of the current consulship, for which you wish, the share of half of the workshop of linen manufacture located in the Camp of the Chrestians, with their two looms and equipment, and I will pay you for the rent of the half share, two hundred silver talents. Additionally, for the rent of the looms, I will weave ten linen cloths, you providing the flax. At the time when I deliver to you, I will acknowledge, and, if questioned, I will confess. Consulship of Arbetion and Lollianus, Thoth.

Palous, the aforesaid, I have leased as proposed. I have written on his behalf, as he is unable to write. Valued by Aurelius Theodoros from Panos, the city.

Copy of the manumission. Aurelius Valerios Sarapion, leader of the Mothites city, to Hilarius, my own, greetings. I confess that due to the excess of your Chrestianity* / Christianity*, you have been freed by Jupiter, Earth, and Sun, along with your peculium. Also, the goodwill that you have shown towards me from now on, to have freedom, uncontested by anyone who might seize you, through this manumission, accomplished by our most venerable father Psekētos. Let it be known that this manumission is valid, legal, and enforceable everywhere, and I, when questioned, have acknowledged it.

After the consulship of Constantius Augustus, the 7th year, and of Constantius, the most illustrious Caesar, the 3rd year, Aurelius Valerios Sarapion, the aforesaid, initiating the manumission, I have declared it as stated, and when questioned, I have acknowledged it.

[Hand 2:]
Aurelius Psekēs, present as the witness, I testify.

* Walter Shandruk in "The Interchange of ι and η in Spelling χριστ- in Documentary Papyri," p. 219 (link) maintains that "its presence in a sub-literary document," in parallel with several other documentary texts from authors who were not highly familiar with Christianity, "should suggest the eta spelling, χ[ρη]στιανότη̣τ̣ο̣ς̣, as the more probable restoration."

I wonder how, hearing that the condemned sailor is among your men, you intended to arrest him; for having received the half of the cargo, he almost consumed it on the way to Babylon. Therefore, assist him, whether through your own means or by requesting Maximus, so that the cunning men from the Tamoura villages may not deceitfully arrest him. They are intoxicated and of bad intent.
[...] the wicked sailor entirely,
[...] seize him, paying seven hundred drachmas,
[...] to Babylon and four hundred

I was greatly distressed, and we are very sorry because you dared to commit such an act, being a Chrestian/Christian and a layperson, and never having been found doing worldly things. Know that Theodorus, the son of Teiete, has become an informer. He came with my brother Theon.

Translation in Lincoln Blumell, Lettered Christians: Christians, Letters, and Late Antique, p. 41:

(Verso) I am amazed that, having known that Tletes, the sailor, is with you, you did not help him also. While he put an effort in transporting the goods to Babylon, he consumed almost half of it. So begin to help him and ask the people of Maximus and Dolis to help him because he wanders in your region and the peasant of Dolis is coming from Pammourb can help him. He is a drunk and has bad habits … the evil sailor … he takes seven hundred dipla . . to Babylon and 400. (recto) I was very annoyed and we are grieved that you dared to do such a thing to Atheas, who is a Christian woman, because she is also a laywoman and she has never been discovered (doing) worldly business. Know that Theodorus from Teis has become a speculator. He came with Theon, my brother.

Hypatias, son of Flavius Optatus, the patrician, and Anicius Paulinus, of the illustrious family of Phamenoth 23.

Aurelius Pageus, son of Horus, from the village of Hippo in the nome of Heracleopolis, an elder appointed by the superiors of the monastery of Monoxylon, commonly known as Hathor, located in the Apollonios district of Upper Cynopolis. With royal letters sent by the most pious Emperor Constantine, commanding certain officials of Egypt, both bishops and elders, and many others, including myself, to gather in Caesarea of Palestine for the examination and purification* of the holy Chrestian/Christian library. This was done in response to my report concerning the conditions, and all the possessions of the monastery were divided into two parts: one part for Thaesis and the other for the heirs. This was to happen within Farmouthi's thirty-day period.

I, Aurelius Pageus, from the village of Hippo, along with the mentioned individuals, gathered in Caesarea of Palestine to carry out the prescribed tasks. Since my presence was urgently needed to replace me in overseeing and managing all the affairs of the monastery, the brothers willingly and voluntarily elected Aurelius Geron of the same monastic rank as me to take charge until my return, under the condition that no innovations or changes would be made without the prior approval of the monastery's superiors, and Kolluthos, Dioscorides, and Prothos, having knowledge of these matters, agreed and approved. Kolluthos wrote this on behalf of the others, and Pageus endorsed it.

To the most genuine, luminous, blessed, beloved, and God-pleasing Macariotatou, filled with the Holy Spirit, and highly honored before the Holy Lord, all the Fathers, in the Lord Jesus Christ, greetings. First of all, I pray for you with all my heart before the Holy Lord—. I wrote these letters on this paper so that you could read them with joy and utmost peace, filled with the Holy Spirit and joy, pleasing to God, as well as with abundant hospitality, patience, and the fulfillment of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, I write to you, most genuine and blessed Paio, from the Lord God, so that you may present your supplications to the Holy Lord for me, to erase my sins through your most holy prayers. So, I write to you, genuine and blessed, all of Paio, from the Lord God, to help me to fulfill their holy will and enlighten me with the light of the sun, so that God may annul the record of my sins through their most steadfast prayers. Therefore, may you know, beloved, genuine and blessed, that when I was on the island of Memphis with the most holy brothers and they made a covenant for me with God, filled with the Holy Spirit and fervent blessings, all the Paio and the entire community, including Orosenophios, Pebé, and Paul, the priest of the city of Tainaios, and Antonios, and the sons of Wenafrion, and all of Mikalonen, so that they may hand over his monastery to me. I experienced hardship in gardening, and I remained there until the Phamenoth. Then, I went to the [ ̣ ̣ ̣ ̣ ̣ ̣ ̣], and now I have committed a demonic sin. Therefore, do everything, beloved genuine and most worthy before the Lord God, with diligent hospitality of the Holy Spirit. God willing, you will beseech the Lord God night and day to offer my sins to your prayers. Therefore, do everything, beloved, so that you may write by monastery and to all Sourous and all Pebe, and also to the Upper Maire for Mikalonen, through me. Therefore, do everything, beloved genuine and most worthy before the Lord God, with diligent hospitality of the Holy Spirit, so that you may supplicate the Lord God, the Father in the Son, and the Son in the Father, that He may render me to your prayers. Feebly, [ ̣ ̣ ̣ ̣ ̣ ̣ ̣ ̣ ̣] I offer you my greetings, most blessed Paio, [⁦ -ca.11- ⁩] and all those with you,
