[Deposited] Paulina on the 13th day before the Kalends of November. Neon and Maria on the 6th day before the Kalends of November. Hadrius and Hippolytus on the 5th day before the Ides of November.

Once, Greece sent a sacrilegious crowd to that place, which now shines adorned with the merits of martyrdom. That crowd had made a lamentable vow in the middle of the sea to offer an unspeakable sacrifice to Jupiter. However, the first faith, armed with heavenly weapons, rejected the insane and pestilential plague. Hippolytus, held in a cave like a monk, preparing a sweet bed for the flocks of Christ, resisted the sacrilegious offering to Jupiter. After him, Hadrias, purified in the sacred river, and Paulina, joined to her husband.

Born Maria together with her brother Nion, they joyfully earned the sacred faith, following Christ's precepts to distribute their own riches generously to the poor. Through their illustrious teachings and great efforts, a holy company joined God. After surrendering their souls to Christ, shedding their blood, they did not fear death to gain life. The passion of these, whose virtues will be learned from their suffering, will properly teach that God is present to His servants.
