No.

That is your personal opinion.

As mine is, it was a rhetorical literary creation. There never was a tomb. But if your going to compete with the Emperors divinity as "son of god" you had better have a dignified burial similar to what a person worthy of worship would have.

Reality dictates the explanation is unknown.

Suetonius, 12 Caesars, "Otho":

"When he at last woke up at about daylight, he stabbed himself with a single stroke under the left breast; and now concealing the wound, and now showing it to those who rushed in at his first groan, he breathed his last and was hastily buried (for such were his orders) in the thirty-eighth year of his age and on the ninety-fifth day of his reign."

Plutarch, Life of Otho:

"They buried the remains of Otho, and made a tomb for them which neither by the great size of its mound nor by the boastfulness of its inscription could awaken jealousy. I saw it when I was at Brixillum. It is a modest memorial and the inscription on it, in translation, runs thus: "To the memory of Marcus Otho." "

There was a tomb. It may have been empty. After Otho dies, there is a rush to see Verginius Rufus and give Imperial Honors to him (again...). He refuses and sneaks out the side door. The Puzzle of the "Empty tomb"? Oh, yes.
Reality dictates the explanation is unknown.
"Reality" does not dictate a thing. Our language tells us what that Reality may exhibit. Otho is a Key to understanding the "Empty Tomb". Remember, it was Otho who was last given Allegiance by Vespasian. Vitellius was hated by the Flavians and he suffers the consequences. Otho dies at dawn and the Story of the Empty Tomb may find its beginnings here.

Nonsense.

Early in the morning he stabbed himself in the heart with a dagger, which he had concealed under his pillow, and died as his attendants entered the tent.

Otho's ashes were placed within a modest monument. He had reigned only three months. His funeral was celebrated at once, as he had wished. A plain tomb was erected in his honour at Brixellum, with the simple inscription Diis Manibus Marci Othonis.
