What is the historical date for the death of Herod Agrippa I (based on Tacitus 12.23)?

In the consulate of Gaius Pompeius and Quintus Veranius [49 CE] ...
But we are missing the books of the Annals that would actually cover the period of Herod Agrippa's rule of Judea, so it is hard to gauge from Tacitus exactly what happened in that period.

But, getting back to Josephus, he states that Herod Agrippa was imprisoned by Tiberius for six months before Tiberius died. (Antiquities 18.6.7). That would put the beginning of Herod Agrippa's imprisonment in Rome at September 17 in the year 36, roughly. A lot happened between the time Herod Agrippa left Flaccus and September 36. Ptolemais, Alexandria, time in Rome before imprisonment, trying to find people to borrow money from, etc., partying with Caligula. That could have been a few years – maybe. We know from Antiquities 18.6.2 that Herodias and Herod Antipas were married before Herod Agrippa even got to Flaccus.

It's an interesting exercise. Obviously, it reveals the limited number of sources upon which many of our histories are based. A few writings, a little bit of archaeology, and a few coins.
