Maybe it should be renamed Journal Deserving of High Criticism, J. of Lower Ethics, or just J. to Avoid.

Even in a draft, Greg, it would have been useful, imho, to show the case about Apollonius and Paul with the precise caveat in the introduction that it doesn't disturb the case for Jesus (ben Sapphat) being better known as Jesus Christ.
I say this even if I note the strange interest by Epiphanius to enumerate the followers of Apollonius of Tyana among the Gnostic heresies.
My difficulty is that when I hear the name 'Paul', I wonder: who is to be meant, by this name? An obscure preacher, not even Christian? Marcion? A member of the Marcion's school? A catholic editor? The "little ones" (gentilizers)? "Paul" is all and none.
Even the Gospel Jesus preserves a less disintegrated identity than a such "Paul".
