But how do you determine which tradition 'corrupted' the original 'ur-tradition'? Don't all the surviving traditions represent a 'perversion' of the original ur-tradition? So why is Hellenism any worse than Pharisaism? If you read the text, they tell you quite clearly the battles going on over "LESS Judaism" getting rid of the laws of Judaism, rewriting Judaism whole cloth perverting it as needed.
