There is a reason why Peter, Neil, DC, and Diogenes and Ben are looked up to, here. There is a reason why I respect the difference in opinions we often have.
How did you know my initials, first and middle, are "DC"?

The first sentence you wrote in this thread
We don't even have any idea whether he studied under John at all. That's just the pipe dream of some NT scholar.
The academic opinion on this is that almost a complete consensus states Jesus was baptized by John. Not some NT scholar almost ALL OF THEM state this.
Most modern theologians view the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist as a historical event to which a high degree of certainty can be assigned if religious texts are taken at face value.[1][2][3][4][5] Along with the crucifixion of Jesus, most biblical scholars view it as one of the two historically certain facts about him, and often use it as the starting point for the study of the historical Jesus.[6]
Most modern scholars believe that John the Baptist performed a baptism on Jesus, and view it as a historical event to which a high degree of certainty can be assigned.[1][2][3][4] James Dunn states that the historicity of the baptism and crucifixion of Jesus "command almost universal assent".
The gospels are not the only references to the baptisms performed by John and in Acts 10:37–38, the apostle Peter refers to how the ministry of Jesus followed "the baptism which John preached" .
The Final Galilean ministry begins after the death of John the Baptist as Jesus prepares to go to Jerusalem.
Not a single one of these statements answers my or Bernard's questions. Not one. Maybe you have to dig deeper?

I'm not a native English speaker, but what is your excuse not to understand a simple question? A question asked by two people, separately?

So again John the point of this forum was to parrot the "party line" on any issue without even having recourse to facts or proofs?

You did not. Not yet. I've read every single answer of yours. Not a single one answers the question you were asked.

It is now 9 pages of back and forth. So there's indeed only two options: He's deliberately obtuse and just wants to troll, or he is too stupid, as you say.
