Another argument from Tacitus

Post by spin »

  1. Tacitus was an honest Roman who told the truth (when he could).
  2. He mentions Jesus, though not in a positive light.
  3. Despite his prejudices, his honesty shone through.
  4. He must have told the truth when he mentioned Jesus.
  5. Therefore, Jesus existed.

  4. Therefore, Jesus existed. (And there's nothing you can say about it to the contrary.)

“The only sensible response to fragmented, slowly but randomly accruing evidence is radical open-mindedness. A single, simple explanation for a historical event is generally a failure of imagination, not a triumph of induction.” William H.C. Propp
