I take Adhuc in corpore constituto as an admission that after this John's death, someone was publishing scripture in his name or otherwise acting in his name (the Johannine epistles, perhaps).

Compare 1 Corinthians 5: 3ff, where the mask slips. "Although absent in body, I am yet present to you in spirit" is too obvious to say in a real letter. You have my blessing if you want to expel that fornicator is the sort of thing a correspondent normally writes. But the readers of his letter would not need a reminder that they are reading a letter; that Paul isn't with them in the flesh, in corpore constituto.

I take it as an admission John was still alive in the context of marcionite v 'orthodox' adversary and that that was noted as part of ensuing doctrine
